Let’s get into the interview with Nikki!
Describe your biggest win at CSS PSG.
Exceeding my quota and being only $1k away from President’s Club my first year ramping up as a recruiter!
If you had the opportunity to work from anywhere for a month, where would it be and why?
I would love to work in Italy for a month. I have been wanting to go there for years now since I have a big Italian family and being able to eat pasta for a month sounds amazing.
Describe a difficult situation you’ve been in with a job seeker and how you turned that challenge into a win.
Most recently I was working with a job seeker that was looking to transition and gain more experience in a whole different department in the industry he has been working in which was tough. However, I presented his resume to the client and was able to sell his experience and drive to get him the position he has been waiting for!
If you could invent anything to solve any problem, what would that problem be and what would you invent to solve it?
I am a huge animal lover (specifically cats) so I’d love to solve the overpopulated shelter problems. I would love to establish farms in various areas that could be catered to different animals where they have more space and comfort, and could offer times for potential foster parents or adoption parents to come and play with them!
In what areas have you grown the most professionally at CSS PSG and how have you seen CSS PSG grow as a whole during your time here?
I have grown the most professionally at CSS PSG in my teamwork and interpersonal skills and being able to complete my certification in Diversity Recruitment. I’m looking to complete more this year as well as recruiting for more difficult/niche positions that I have never worked on before. I have seen CSS PSG grow tremendously since I have been here. The team environment, management, and structure as a whole have grown to be amazing, and I can see it continuing to get better as the year goes on.
A quote to live by and why it matters to you.
The most cliché one, which is “everything happens for a reason.” I have a hard time when things happen out of my control so this quote helps me.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of achieving in 2022 and why?
The professional accomplishments I am most proud of achieving in 2022 were being able to continue to push myself when things became challenging, continuing to mentor/assist other recruiters when needed, and branch out more when it came to developing professional relationships.
If you could spend a weekend with any historical figure past or present, who would it be and why?
Since I am a psychology major, I would say Mary Calkins. She was the first woman to serve as the president of the American Psychological Association. I would love to hear about the struggles she had back then and learn more about her studies.
What’s a tactic you use to unwind and recalibrate in the middle of the day to refocus and lock into your afternoon?
Take a walk, clean up around the house, or listen to some music!
You’re forced to choose a cast member of The Jersey Shore to do your 2023 taxes for you; who is it and why?
I would definitely choose Jenny. She seems like she would 100% have my back and make sure everything is in order!
What’s a go-to tool (scheduling, writing, organizing, media, etc.) that makes your life easier from day to day?
My go-to tool will always be music and making to-do lists in the notes app on my iPhone. I absolutely LOVE creating various to-do lists in the app and checking them off as the week or day goes by as well as listening to music while I am working to calm my nerves and motivate me.
What would you choose for your last meal?
Sushi for sure with a Pepsi as my drink!
What culturally stands out about the CSS PSG team that breeds success?
How close we all are, the transparency, and the ability for us to work hard but have fun too!
If you could act as a character in any movie ever made, who would you be in what movie?
I would love to be Leo in the movie The Revenant – never seen someone so motivated and willing to do anything for his family!
What’s your favorite way to say goodbye?
Nothing is better than a good old Irish goodbye.
