Let’s get into the interview with Karolina!
Describe your biggest win at CSS Professional Staffing Group.
My biggest win at Peergenics was having the opportunity to learn the functionalities of Salesforce and receiving my Salesforce Associate Certification.
Describe a difficult project you've been tasked with and how you turned that challenge into a win.
Having projects where the client goes out of scope can be difficult. In my most recent situation, we were able to successfully establish parameters on what can be accomplished within budget, while still satisfying the client’s needs. Win-Win!
In what areas have you grown the most professionally at Peergenics and how have you seen Peergenics grow as a whole during your time here?
Exposure to a wide range of clients and different types of projects has allowed me to grow my project management skills. Peergenics as a whole is consistently looking for ways to improve and grow its business, and taking the action needed to accomplish this. Whether it’s streamlining business processes, automations to make day-to-day tasks simpler, or revamping the way projects are structured, it is refreshing to work at a company that takes the time to work through important initiatives.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of achieving in 2022 and why?
I am proud of taking on more challenging projects and clients in 2022 and managing relationships from start to finish while working through any roadblocks that I may have encountered.
What's a tactic you use to unwind and recalibrate in the middle of the day to refocus and lock into your afternoon?
I will step away from my computer and hang out with my cat for bit and usually try to read a book for 15 minutes without any distractions. It helps me reset.
What's a go-to tool (scheduling, writing, organizing, media, etc.) that makes your life easier from day to day (the more obscure, the more interesting!)
My go-to tools are OneNote and Monday.com. I use OneNote to track all my to-dos for the day, ideas, and notes from internal meetings. I use the project management tool Monday to track all project management-related items for clients and Peergenics.
What culturally stands out about the Peergenics team that breeds success?
The true teamwork mentality. At Peergenics I never feel like I am alone in solving a challenge and know that I have the support of my peers if needed.
If you had the opportunity to work from anywhere for a month, where would it be and why?
Positano, Italy. I can’t imagine having a better work view than off a cliffside overlooking the Amalfi Coast.
A quote to live by and why it matters to you
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. It has helped me in the past to see the positivity in challenging life moments.
If you could go back in time to experience one historical event over again, what would it be?
The fall of the Berlin Wall.
If you could be reincarnated into any animal, what would it be and why?
A cat, specifically my cat. He’s one of the most spoiled pets I know and I wouldn’t mind having his life.
What would you choose for your last meal?
Linguine Carbonara and a glass of red wine from my favorite restaurant in New Jersey.
Favorite vacation you've ever been on and why?
My favorite vacation was to Barcelona, Spain. I really loved the views and culture, and even got to experience making my own paella and sangria from local ingredients. It was a lot of fun and can’t wait to visit again!
What’s your favorite way to say goodbye (FINAL QUESTION)?
A goodbye that includes follow-up plans on when I will see that person again.
